John Hastings-E-002

The son of John Hastings, 1st Baron Hastings and Isabel de Valence, he was born September 29, 1287. He was lord of the Manor of Hunningham upon the death of his father in 1313, Baron Abergavenny, and Governor of Kenilworth Castle. He married Juliana de Leybourne, and was succeeded by his son, Lawrence Hastings…who became the 1st Earl of Pembroke. His military history includes fighting in the First War of Scottish Independence.
